Byron Bay Skin Clinic
The story of skin cancer is common within our Australian community. “Slip, Slop, Slap” is an iconic phrase prompting memories for many of summer holidays and sand sticking to sunscreen.
Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, with approximately two in three Australians being diagnosed with skin cancer in their lifetime. This highlights the importance of awareness around any changes in your skin.
Familiarisation and awareness of any changes in your skin combined with regular skin checks with a qualified GP will assist in ensuring that changes in your skin are detected and can be addressed as soon as possible.
Here at The Health Lodge, Dr Jef Reinten operates a Skin Clinic, offering:
Excisions (if required)
Skin Cancer Facts – from the Australian Cancer Council
There are three main types of skin cancer:

Non- melanoma skin cancer (both basal and squamous cell carcinomas) is more common in men, with almost double the occurrence as compared to women.
